Full-time Internship

Full-time Internship is available in biotechnology with the potential for permanent employment.

Education: Minimum requirement is a major in Biology, Biochemistry or Chemistry; experience in a biochemistry or microbiology laboratory is strongly recommended.

Position Reports to: Director of Research

Job description: Assisting with Molecular Biology protocols, i.e., cloning, DNA isolation and protein expression & purification. Participate in R & D and manufacturing of reagents and kits, primarily for the life science research market, including the optimization of new and current ELISA Assays in our product line. Demonstrate function of products in validated assays, with reproducibility. Prepare internal progress reports. Maintain accurate records and up-to-date notebooks.

Qualifications/requirements:

- Ability to function independently while communicating results/progress to other team members is required

- Accomplished organizational, and time management skills highly desired.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills required

- Academic and laboratory experience in biology / biochemistry

- Strong basic biomedical laboratory skills are required.

- A self-starter with a strong work ethic is essential.

- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.

- Experience with immunoassay development is desirable but not required.
