Product Overview
Neutrophils primary role is to destroy foreign particles by phagocytosis or release of bacteriostatic agents. Serine protease neutrophil elastases are stored in azurophilic granules located inside the neutrophils and aid the neutrophil in thwarting foreign entities.
Chromatographically prepared from the euglobin fraction of pancreas by the method of Lewis et al. (1) then twice crystallized. Supplied as an aqueous suspension containing 0.01% NaN3 as preservative. The protein does not contain trypsin or chymotrypsin.
